FAQs
Where is your fish sourced from, and is it wild caught?
Yes, our cod is wild caught. Kyle Lee, @fishermankyle, fished the cod in Alaska.
How long does the cod last in the fridge or freezer?
Cod lasts for up to 2 days in the refrigerator and up to 6 months in the freezer.
Can I freeze my fish if it arrives partially thawed?
Yes, you can re-freeze your fish if it arrives partially thawed.
My fish arrived, and it’s not frozen. What should I do?
If your fish is cold to the touch when it arrives, put it in the fridge and consume it in 2 days. If your fish does not arrive frozen or cold, please do not consume and email contact@davidprotein.com.
My fish arrives in dry ice. How do I properly dispose of the dry ice?
Do not touch the dry ice with your bare hands.
To safely dispose of dry ice, leave it in a well-ventilated area at room temperature and let it sublimate (turn into gas) on its own.
Never seal it in a container or put it down a sink or toilet.
Does my fish arrive with skin and bones?
No, the cod will arrive bones removed and skin off.
