Yes, David is gluten-free. Our products are naturally gluten-free and do not contain any ingredients derived from gluten-containing grains. This rigorous testing ensures that our products are safe for those avoiding gluten. While we do not have official gluten-free certification, our commitment to these stringent standards ensures the highest level of safety and quality.
David contains allergens of milk, soy, coconut, and eggs. Our Salted Peanut Butter and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk flavors, as well as the Bronze bars, contain peanuts. Because all of our products are made in facilities that process peanuts, sesame, and tree nuts, there is a risk of cross-contamination.
Our bars are not suitable for most vegetarian or vegan diets given we use collagen derived from animals in combination with milk proteins.
Please review the ingredient list and consult with your healthcare provider if you have specific allergies or dietary concerns.
David bars have a shelf life of 1 year from the date of manufacture.
For maximum freshness, we recommend storing David bars in the refrigerator. They can also be kept at room temperature as long as they are away from direct sunlight and excess heat. If chilled or frozen, allow them to return to room temperature before eating for the best texture and taste.
Yes. David is designed to be a part of a balanced daily diet that includes other nutrient-dense foods like fruits and vegetables. They allow you to significantly increase your protein intake without a large impact on your total daily calorie intake. This makes it easy to fit both Gold and Bronze bars into your daily routine while maintaining your specific macro and calorie goals.
Yes. David is designed to promote satiety through a high protein-to-calorie ratio. David Gold bars provide 75% of calories from protein (CFP), while David Bronze bars offer 53% CFP. The difference comes down to your goal and the occasion. If you want the most protein for the fewest calories, Gold delivers 28g of protein per bar at 150 calories, with 75% of calories coming from protein. If you want a high-protein bar that feels more like a treat, Bronze delivers 20g of protein at 53% calories from protein in an indulgent, chocolate-coated bar at the same 150 calories. That's still more protein density than most protein bars on the market. Many David customers keep both on hand for different moments of their day.
